There are two options when it comes to receiving airtime with Thuraya; PREPAID and POSTPAID. 

PREPAID OPTION

Prepaid is simply purchasing airtime values "credits" in advance.  This is done by purchasing Thuraya scratch cards.  Thuraya scratch cards are offered in different calling values 20, 39, 50, 80 and 160 units.  These voucher cards are 14-digit codes that you need to enter when you refill your account. Pre Paid Advantages:

  • FREE Activation
  • No Contracts
  • Easy Refill

In order for satellite service to be activated, a SIM card is required (for both mobile satellite services and DSL service). 

With Thuraya prepaid solutions one can choose from two prepaid SIM card options; Thuraya ClassicSIM or ThurayaECO SIM. 

The main difference between the two is that one can be used in all of Thuraya's coverage areas (Thuraya ClassicSIM) while the other can only be used in specific countries (ThurayaECO SIM) 

POSTPAID OPTION:

Thuraya Postpaid plans offer the convenience of paying later and the option of selecting from five Postpaid Monthly Plans addressing a wide range of usage levels.
