UAE-based satellite
services provider Thuraya has announced the commercial readiness of its
third satellite, Thuraya-3, aimed at covering the Asia-Pacific region. The
company's expanded coverage, which will include China, Australia, Japan,
Korea, and Indonesia, will double the current market size covered by its
satellite system to more than two billion people
